The Beach
Who says the beach is just for summer? Rain or shine, there’s so much to discover at White Rock beaches. The tide is often way out, so set up your shot with the horizon in the background or turn it around and frame the city.
The Pier
The pier might just be White Rock’s most photographed spot thanks to it’s timeless good looks! White Rock’s historic pier is almost a ½-kilometre long and dates back to 1914. Walk out to the end, there are lots of spots along the way to strike a pose or capture that perfect moment.
P’Quals The White Rock
There really is a white rock in White Rock, and what better way to document your visit to our seaside community than a shot in front of, or on top of this iconic landmark.
The Promenade
Grab a cup of coffee from one of White Rock’s awesome coffee shops and take a stroll along the 2.2-kilometre promenade. There are lots of photo opportunities, from seaside vistas to public art and, of course, the historic pier!
The Mosaic Steps
The mosaic steps, located at Terry Parr Plaza on Marine Drive, are actually a public art installation entitled ‘Walking on Sunshine’ by artist Matt Todd. Each step has been decorated using pieces of colourful tile and placed in the pattern of sunshine. What better backdrop for your feed?
Your Favourite Restaurant
If there’s one thing that Instagram is known for, it’s artful photos of beautiful meals, and White Rock certainly doesn’t disappoint for opportunities to “foodstagram”. Choose a restaurant and settle in for a delicious and photo-worthy meal.
The Whale Wall

The “Passenger”
Just outside the White Rock Museum is a tall, dark & handsome stranger who leans against a bench as if waiting for something. This is the “Passenger”, a bronze sculpture depicting a train passenger waiting for the train that used to transport visitors between Vancouver and White Rock and Seattle. This friendly guy is always ready to pose for a photo.
