SUMMARY:South Rock Art Tour
DESCRIPTION:Artists and artisans living and/or working in White Rock\, Ocean Park\, Crescent Beach\, and South Surrey will be participating in an open studio/art tour the weekend of September 21 and 22\, 2024. \nThe South Rock Art Tour will feature a variety of locations that will be open between 10 am and 4 pm both days. Some artists will be sharing their spaces with fellow artists who have smaller studios or workspaces which are not easily accessible to the public. \nThis is a rare opportunity to meet these exceptional creators. The artists and artisans will be on location at their showrooms or studios to talk with visitors and answer questions about their work. \nThere will be plenty of variety to appeal to everyone’s taste: paintings in oil\, acrylic\, watercolour\, and mixed media\, jewelry\, ceramics\, mosaic\, glasswork\, sculpture\, and turned wood. Many of these works\, including inspired wearable art and home decor\, will be for sale. \nThe tour is designed in collaboration with Semiahmoo Arts who will host a gallery exhibition from September 9-22nd at the Turnbull Gallery. This will allow guests to preview the artist’s work and plan their day. \nPast tours have been sponsored by the city of White Rock. \n
