We love White Rock and we love free stuff so we thought we’d combine the two and let you know about our favourite fun and FREE things to do in White Rock.
Walk the promenade and the pier
Walking the promenade and the pier is the best way to see different areas of the beach and to get a pretty awesome view looking back at the city. It’s an easy flat paved walkway with a spectacular ocean view. Grab a friend or go by yourself and start walking. Best of all it is completely free!
Picnic
Picnics are a great, and budget-conscious, way to enjoy a meal out with friends. Pitch in with a group to buy some ingredients for sandwiches or raid the fridge and bring lunch from home. White Rock has lots of great picnic spots such as the beach, various parks and the White Rock lookout point in Coldicutt Park.

Tour White Rock’s Art
White Rock’s galleries showcase a variety of cutting edge and eclectic art collections and they are all free to browse. Try the White Rock Gallery or the Golden Cactus. And on your way to each gallery look for the murals and public art installations located throughout the city for a fun, free and artistic day.
The Farmers Market
The White Rock farmers market runs until October 27th and is somewhere you do not want to miss. Each week the market has new vendors and performers so you never know what you will see or who you will meet. Whether you are going to pick up some groceries, grab a bite or just experience it without spending a dime, we promise you will have a great time!

Watch the Kite Surfers
On a windy day, kite surfers flock to East Beach to harness the power of the wind and take to the skies! Grab a patch of sand and marvel at the skill of these high-fliers as they perform tricks above the waves.
